Itinerary

Puno - Copacabana Sun Island - Puno

Start Time: 06:00 – 06:30 hrs (hotel pickup in Puno) We begin the day with pickup from your hotel in Puno and transfer to the bus station to board a tourist bus toward Copacabana, Bolivia. The journey follows the scenic shores of Lake Titicaca, offering beautiful views of the high Andean landscape and traditional lakeside communities.

We arrive at the Kasani border (Peru–Bolivia) for immigration procedures and border crossing. After completing formalities, we continue the journey toward Copacabana, located approximately 151 km from Puno, with an estimated travel time of around 3 hours.

Upon arrival around midday (Bolivian time), you will have free time for lunch in Copacabana. Afterward, we visit the famous Copacabana Basilica, one of Bolivia’s most important religious sites.

At approximately 13:30 hrs, we begin the boat excursion across Lake Titicaca to the legendary Isla del Sol (Sun Island). The shared boat ride takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes across the world’s highest navigable lake.

Upon arrival at the southern part of the island, we walk up the traditional Yumani Inca Steps, an ancient stone staircase leading to the Fountain of Youth, where visitors can drink sacred water believed to bring health and vitality.

We also explore the Inca Garden and enjoy stunning panoramic views of Lake Titicaca and the Andes Mountains.

After the visit, we return by boat to Copacabana in the afternoon. From there, you will take the bus back to Puno or continue to La Paz depending on your itinerary.
