Huaraz is a city of Callejón de Huaylas valley is in the northern Perú. It is the capital of the Ancash region and is at an altitude of 3,000 meters above sea level, with snow-capped peaks of the Cordillera Blanca forming a dramatic skyline in the east. Huarascan National Park, which encompasses much of the Cordillera Blanca, is home to Andean condors and jaguars, as well as Peru’s highest mountain, Huarascan.
