Overview
Cerro Blanco is a dune that is located in the Nazca Valley and has a height of 2078 meters above sea level. From its summit, visitors can enjoy a beautiful natural landscape, surrounded by dunes of whimsical shapes, which offer the perfect setting for sandboarding.
First we will practice, following the instructions of our guide who will explain how to use the board and show us different styles. Once we have practiced enough, we will slide down the dunes, the last slope is about 600 meters, which guarantees an experience full of adrenaline.

05:00 Hrs. Pick up from Hotel before sunrise. Leaving at this time we will be avoiding the scorching heat of the desert and we will enjoy our ride better.
We will go to km. 23 to climb uphill in rocky hill for approximately 3 hours following the height we will arrive to the sandy areas of the white hill, where you can appreciate the beautiful landscape. Once we have conquered the summit, we will take a well deserved rest. Then we will receive safety instructions from our guide, so that you can enjoy this sport in a safe way.
We will start practicing on one of the many dunes at the top, here our guide will teach us how to use the board and some fun styles.
Then, once we have practiced enough, we will slide down the slope. The length of the last slope is approximately 600 meters, which means it will be a lot of fun.
At the end of our big jump, we will arrive at the edge of the dune and from there we will have to walk for about 30 minutes, to a point where we will be waiting for the mobility that will bring us back to the city. End of the excursion.

Recommendations:
- Wear light clothing as it is very hot in the desert, especially if you do this excursion during the summer months (December to March), where the average temperature is 35º C, during the day.
- If you do this excursion in the afternoon it is recommended to bring a jacket, as there could be cold winds.
Bring hiking shoes and thick socks, water, hat, and sunscreen. - This tour demands a high physical performance, therefore it is not recommended for obese people or smokers.
