After 9.00am  breakfast at your salt hotel, begin the day with a short drive along the shores of the Uyuni Salt Flats toward the base of the impressive Tunupa Volcano. En route, visit the small community of Coquesa, where you will explore a cave housing ancient pre-Columbian mummies, offering a unique insight into the region’s history and culture.

From here, accompanied by a local guide, start your ascent of Tunupa Volcano. The hike takes you through volcanic landscapes with stunning views over the Salar. A picnic lunch box will be provided during the excursion.

From the highest reachable point, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Uyuni Salt Flats, one of the most iconic landscapes in South America.

After the descent, return to Tahua for a relaxing evening at your salt hotel.

Start the day  at 7:30am early with a magical sunrise over the Uyuni Salt Flats, where the changing colors of the sky reflect across the endless white landscape. Afterward, return to the hotel in Tahua for breakfast.

Continue your Uyuni Salt Flats tour heading south through surreal Andean landscapes. Pass by the impressive “Stone Army” rock formations and enter the vast Chiguana Salt Flat, known for its important borax deposits.

The journey continues through a valley of ancient petrified lava, where unique formations reveal the powerful volcanic history of the region. Along the route, enjoy views of the Ollagüe Volcano, the only semi-active volcano in the area.

Lunch will be served en route as you travel deeper into the Altiplano. In the afternoon, visit the stunning high-altitude lagoons, including Cañapa Lagoon and Hedionda Lagoon, famous for their populations of flamingos and breathtaking scenery.

Continue into the dramatic Siloli Desert, one of the most remote and beautiful regions of the Bolivian Altiplano, where you will spend the night in a desert hotel.

After an 6.30 amearly breakfast at the desert hotel, begin your return journey through some of the most spectacular landscapes of the Bolivian Altiplano.

Your first stop is the famous Stone Tree, a unique rock formation sculpted by wind erosion in the heart of the Siloli Desert. Continue to the stunning Red Lagoon (Laguna Colorada), one of the most important nesting sites for three species of South American flamingos. Its intense red waters, combined with flocks of flamingos, create an unforgettable setting for photography.

Next, visit the geothermal area of the Sol de Mañana geysers, where you will observe active fumaroles, bubbling mud pools, and steaming vents. Continue to the Polques Hot Springs, where you’ll have the opportunity to relax with a bath in natural thermal waters.

Lunch will be served along the route as you continue through the surreal Dalí Desert, known for its striking rock formations. The journey then leads to the beautiful Green Lagoon (Laguna Verde), located at the base of the majestic Licancabur Volcano (5,910 m).

After the visit, begin the return transfer to Uyuni, arriving in the evening.
