from $ 722.00

Overview

Salar de Uyuni is located in the Bolivian Altiplano, in the Andes Mountains. It is considered one of the 25 Natural Wonders of the Planet. Here we find the largest salt desert in the world with a surface of 10.500 km2. Uyuni Salt Flat Uturunco 4 Days ,This Salt Lake is the largest lithium reserve in the world with 50-70 % of the world’s lithium, and also contains important quantities of potassium, boron and magnesium.

Crossing this Salt Lake, especially during the winter, is an incredible experience because the sky is completely clear and bright blue, which makes the sky contrast with the salt.

Highlights

When you visit the Salar de Uyuni gives you the feeling of being on another planet, you will see salt for miles and miles, colorful lakes, flamingos, geysers … A landscape that seems from another world. In this post you will find practical information for the tour of the Salar de Uyuni. In my case I did the 3-day tour, but you can hire excursions for 1, 2, 3 or 4 days.

In contrast, on a cloudy day there is a “whitening” effect: the horizon seems to merge with the sky and you can barely see where the Salar de Uyuni ends.
