Itinerary

Day 01: Uyuni – Uyuni Salt Flat – Tahua (09:00 – 18:00)

Time: 09:00 – 18:00 hrs We begin the Uyuni Salt Flat 3 days tour with pickup from the airport or your hotel in Uyuni. Traveling in a private 4×4, we first visit the iconic Train Cemetery, a unique open-air museum of historic locomotives.

We continue to Colchani village, where we explore a traditional salt-processing plant and a local artisan market—an authentic cultural stop of this Salar de Uyuni tour Bolivia.

Entering the vast Salar de Uyuni, the largest salt flat in the world, we discover incredible formations such as salt pyramids, “eyes of the salt,” and the first salt hotel (now a museum). We then enjoy a unique lunch in the middle of the salt flats.

In the afternoon, we visit Incahuasi Island, a rocky island covered with giant millenary cacti and fossilized coral. A short hike (approx. 1 hour) offers panoramic views over the endless white landscape—one of the highlights of any Uyuni Salt Flat itinerary.

Day 02: Tahua – Perdiz’s Eye (07:30 – 17:30)

Time: 07:30 – 17:30 hrs We start the day early with a breathtaking sunrise in the Salar de Uyuni, one of the most memorable moments of the Uyuni Salt Flat 3 days tour. Afterward, we return to our hotel in Tahua for breakfast.

We continue our journey by 4×4 across the remote Altiplano, passing through unique landscapes such as the “Army of Stone” and entering the Chiguana Salt Flat, known for its large borax deposits—key highlights of this Bolivia desert tour.

Along the route, we explore a valley of petrified lava with fascinating volcanic formations, before enjoying views of the impressive Ollagüe Volcano, one of the few semi-active volcanoes in the region.
