Your Laguna Parón scenic tour from Huaraz begins with a departure at 8:30 AM, traveling north through the beautiful Callejón de Huaylas valley toward the charming town of Caraz. From here, we continue east on a mountain road into the Cordillera Blanca, heading toward the entrance of Parón Valley.
After a gradual ascent, we arrive at Laguna Parón (4,200 m), the largest and one of the most beautiful turquoise lakes in Peru. Surrounded by dramatic snow-capped peaks, this is a perfect spot to relax, take photos, and enjoy breathtaking Andean landscapes.
For those seeking a bit more adventure, we begin a short optional hike to the panoramic viewpoint (4,300 m). Along the way, you’ll pass quenual forests (Polylepis trees) and typical high-altitude Andean vegetation, while enjoying spectacular views of iconic mountains such as Artesonraju (6,030 m), Pisco (5,752 m), Chacraraju (6,112 m), and the impressive Huandoy massif.
After approximately 1 hour of hiking, reach the viewpoint overlooking Laguna Parón, offering one of the most photogenic landscapes in the Cordillera Blanca.
Following time to explore, relax, and capture stunning photos, we descend back to the parking area, where our transport awaits. In the afternoon, return to Huaraz, completing a relaxing yet scenic Andean day tour.
