Itinerary
Laguna Palcacocha Trek – Glacier View Hike
Pick-up from your hotel in Huaraz at 7:00 AM, followed by a scenic drive to the village of Macashca, the starting point of the Laguna Rajucolta hike.
The trek begins through picturesque Andean landscapes, passing local farms, grazing animals, and native vegetation. As you ascend, enjoy impressive views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
After approximately 2.5–3 hours, arrive at Laguna Rajucolta (4,200 m), a crystal-clear glacial lake located at the base of the majestic Huantsán Mountain, one of the most impressive peaks in the Cordillera Blanca.
Enjoy time to rest, take photos, and relax in this and natural setting, before descending back to the trailhead. In the afternoon, return to Huaraz, completing a unique and less crowded trekking experience.
