Nazca Cantallaoc

Nazca Cantallaoc

Overview
The Nazca culture was a civilization that was able to dominate this arid desert thanks to the development of a hydraulic structure.
Highlights
Hydraulic structures built by the ancient Nazca. Of the 46 aqueducts found, 32 are still in use today. Stone slabs and huarango logs were used for their construction, which have withstood the passage of time. Thanks to their technological knowledge, the ancient Nazca inhabitants were able to collect water from underground to irrigate dry areas and thus combat long periods of drought.
