07:00 hrs – Trek to Lake Apu Víctor
After breakfast, begin a guided rainforest trekking experience along specially prepared trails deep into the jungle near Puerto Maldonado. Cross wooden bridges over small ravines and streams while observing flooded forest ecosystems, exotic flora, and diverse wildlife.
Arrive at the stunning Lake Apu Víctor, a hidden gem of the Amazon with crystal-clear waters, surrounded by marshlands and towering trees—perfect for nature photography and birdwatching in Peru.
Climb the observation tower for a panoramic view of the lake and spot a wide variety of species, including parrots, macaws, toucans, hoatzins (shanshos), herons, as well as caimans and turtles. With some luck, you may even encounter the giant river otter, one of the most fascinating animals of the Amazon.
After this immersive Amazon wildlife experience, return to the lodge for lunch.

13:00 hrs – Lunch at the Eco-Lodge
Enjoy a delicious Amazonian lunch and a short rest surrounded by nature.

15:30 hrs – Monkey Island Visit
In the afternoon, take a short boat ride on the Madre de Dios River to visit Monkey Island, a unique conservation area just minutes from the lodge.
Accompanied by your expert guide, explore this lush habitat and observe different species of monkeys in the wild, such as capuchins, squirrel monkeys, howler monkeys, and tamarins, along with other wildlife like coatis, sloths, and tropical birds. This is one of the best spots for wildlife observation in the Peruvian Amazon.

18:00 hrs – Amazon Sunset Experience
Enjoy a breathtaking sunset over the Amazon River, a magical moment with vibrant colors and peaceful surroundings.

19:30 hrs – Dinner & Overnight at the Lodge
Return to the lodge for dinner and relax after a full day of Amazon jungle adventure and eco-tourism experience.

07:00 hrs – Trek to Lost Cocha (Deep Jungle Experience) After breakfast, begin an exciting rainforest trekking expedition into the primary (virgin) forest, accompanied by a specialized local guide. This immersive walk takes you deep into one of the most untouched areas of the Amazon.
Arrive at the spectacular Lost Cocha, a hidden lagoon that serves as a vital ecosystem and wildlife refuge in the Amazon. This area is rich in biodiversity and offers excellent opportunities for wildlife observation in Peru.

Here, you may spot animals such as giant river otters, caimans, turtles, tapirs (sachavacas), colorful birds, and a variety of fish species. With some luck, sightings of elusive species like the jaguar are possible in this preserved environment.

Observation Tower – Panoramic Rainforest Views
Climb the observation deck to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the vast Amazon jungle, including wetlands, swamps, and “aguajales” (palm ecosystems), making this a perfect moment for photography and nature appreciation.

Canoe Ride on Lost Cocha

08:00 hrs – Transfer by River & Land After breakfast, begin your return journey with a boat transfer along the Madre de Dios River, followed by land transportation back to the city. This scenic ride offers a last chance to appreciate the beauty of the Peruvian Amazon jungle.

09:30 – 10:00 hrs – Arrival in Puerto Maldonado
Arrival in Puerto Maldonado and transfer to the airport or bus station according to your departure schedule.
