Itinerary

Day 1: Trekking Pitec (3850 m)- Laguna Churup (4450 m)

Your Churup Lake adventure tour begins with hotel pick-up in Huaraz at 07:00 AM, followed by a scenic drive through the Cordillera Blanca to the traditional village of Llupa (3,700 m), the starting point of this iconic Andean trek.

The Laguna Churup hike follows an ancient trail through spectacular mountain landscapes, with panoramic views of valleys, waterfalls, and snow-capped peaks. As you ascend, the trail becomes steeper and more challenging, including a short technical section with fixed ropes, adding excitement to this high-altitude trekking experience.

After approximately 2.5–3 hours of hiking, you will reach Laguna Churup (4,450 m), a breathtaking turquoise glacial lake surrounded by granite cliffs and towering glaciers. Dominating the landscape is Nevado Churup (5,400 m), creating one of the most spectacular alpine views in Peru—perfect for photography and nature lovers.

Enjoy time to rest, explore, and take in the stunning scenery, before descending back along the same trail to Llupa. In the afternoon, return to Huaraz, completing one of the best day hikes in the Cordillera Blanca, ideal for acclimatization and adventure seekers.
