Itinerary

Day 01.Chuncho Macaw

Start Time: 03:00 hrs – Pickup in Puerto Maldonado or Tambopata lodge. Early Morning Transfer – Into the Amazon
Your adventure begins with an early pickup from your hotel or Tambopata hostel. Travel for approximately 2 hours by 4×4 vehicle, combining paved road and off-road jungle tracks, heading toward the Tambopata River, near the entrance of the reserve.

River Journey – Sunrise & Wildlife
Upon arrival, board a motorized boat for a 1.5-hour navigation along the Tambopata River. Enjoy a breathtaking Amazon sunrise while spotting wildlife along the riverbanks, including:

  • Capybaras
  • White caimans
  • Shore birds and herons
  • Possible sightings of monkeys and, with luck, even a jaguar

Chuncho Macaw Clay Lick – Main Experience .Arrive at the Chuncho Clay Lick, one of the most impressive wildlife spectacles in the Amazon.From approximately 06:30 to 11:00 hrs, observe:
