Overview

In total, Manu National Park is home to almost 2 million hectares of nature. It is located on the western edge of the Amazon basin, in the departments of Cusco and Madre de Dios and since 1977 has held the status of Biosphere Reserve granted by UNESCO. The tropical forests of Manu have allowed the ecological and evolutionary processes to take place almost without the presence of man, however, in the area there is also an enormous cultural wealth, represented by the current indigenous populations with different levels of contact with the outside world. Manu National Park is home to 222 species of mammals, 1005 species of birds, 155 species of amphibians and 132 species of reptiles. Here it is possible to find all the variety of ecological floors that exist in the Amazon, from the low jungle, the Amazon plain and even the cloud forests of high jungle. All this on a scenario of impressive diversity of vegetation, and is that in a single hectare of Manu have come to find up to 250 species of trees.

Specialized and bilingual guide, 01 night in Orquídeas de San Pedro Lodge, 02 nights in Erika Lodge, meals (vegetarian option is available), first aid kit, all land and river transportation, captain and river rafting equipment, specialized guide for the Canopy Zip Down and required equipment, safety box for values and storage for luggage at Cusco’s main office.

No Included

The breakfast and mineral water, only for the first day, some kind of drinks such as beers or sodas, tips and the last dinner. Manu National Park is not endemic area about Malaria neither Yellow fever you can bring a good insect repellent but if you decide to put the yellow fever vaccination for prevention you can do it 10 days before start your trip to the jungle.
