Route: Cusco – Urubamba (Perolniyoc Waterfall) – Cusco

To begin this day tour, you will visit the Ñaupa church that was a special “huaca” (sacred rock). It was likely used as a place of worship of Inca mummies, and some suggest it was a portal to other realms in the universe. After that,  you will continue to the rural community of Socma where the Perolniyoc Waterfall is. It has a height of approximately 80 meters. The water pool that forms below is shallow, so you can cool off in its crystal clear waters, if you are feeling brave! You will also be able to appreciate the lush vegetation and nature on the hike to the waterfall. After the waterfall, we will return to the city of Cusco.

Recommendations:

1) Since post-crown measures have not yet been defined, it is possible that when activities in the region resume, combined transport will no longer be available as before. For health and safety reasons, we advise you in any case to avoid combined transport.

We recommend that you better choose travel in private vehicles or in transports adapted to the new health standards and to the new social distancing obligations (please contact us for more information on these transports).

2) There are no vehicles available in the village of Socma. Therefore, it is very important to negotiate with the private driver or cab that will take you there to wait for you during the time of your hike to take you back to Ollantaytambo or Cusco.

3) Few drivers know the way to get to the village of Socma. You can contact us if it is necessary to have a professional private driver for your trip. In this case, send us an email to info@wayraperutravel.com or a message on our website.
