Overview

Welcome to a real challenge in one of the best mountain chains in the Andes: the Condoriri!
Condoriri is an amazing mountain range in Bolivia, with many imposing peaks to climb. Its main summit is Cabeza del Condor (Condor’s Head in English), at 5700 meters of height. And there we’ll go!

Highlights

During this 3-day climb expedition in Condoriri that I offer, you will also discover the immensity of this mountain range as well as its amazing landscapes. Please keep in mind that it is a trip suitable for climbers with some prior experience and a well acclimatization.

If you need a warm up trek, please check out this hiking program from Ajuani to Huayna Potosi. That way you’ll be physically ready to climb the Cabeza del Condor summit. Anyway, having climbing experience is mandatory.

Itinerary

Day 1: La Paz - Chiar Khota Lagoon

Early departure from La Paz to the Rinconada Ranch by vehicle. Then, after rounding up a team of llamas or mules for our gear, we have a 2 hour trek to the Chiar Khota Lagoon (4,630m), where we will set up our first base camp.

Day 2: Summit Day

We will have another alpine start, as it is a long day to reach up to the Cabeza del Condor summit. The terrain begins on very loose rock until we reach the ice, turning the climbing into a more technical one. Once in the summit and after some pictures, we’ll start our return by the same route to our base camp.

Day 3: Rinconada - La Paz

Early in the morning we will begin the return to the Rinconada where our vehicle will be waiting to take us back to La Paz. Ending of our services.
